YOUR BUSINESS. BETTER.
Are you an obstacle or lever for success in your business?
Are there key individuals that you seek to nurture and empower to help them reach their full potential to benefit your businesses success?
When I was in business we had a potential applicant for a role. On paper he was average at best, but we could see the potential of how he could help us move the business forward.
What I have come to recognize is that we weren't special, most business owners come across these people. They are the two, three or four people in the business that business owners look at to move the business forward.
So, what The Thrive Programme is all about is enabling these people (not improving their technical skillsets) but enabling them to manage change and come with increasing responsibility.
Here is a good example with a manufacturing company, and the leadership team, could see the potential in this person, but this person struggled to see the potential in themself.
Over the course of eight weeks, the progress made is quite remarkable. We started with their beliefs, and by the end, you could feel the difference. The person had a sense of power and control, aware of their choices and a new lease on life – looking to themselves first in matters of concern.
Who are your Future Leaders
The key difference between thriving managers and leaders isn't technical ability; it's their mindset and commitment to performance and well-being
It can be too easy to get caught up in the daily grind and miss seeing the untapped potential in your team - or see it but not know how to harness it. The good news is that it’s relatively easy to learn the skills to spot who is thriving and who is not, unlock the true potential of your people and lead a thriving culture.

Thrive for Your Team
Invest in helping your people to thrive
If you are on a mission to lead a thriving culture you can double-down on your efforts by investing in the Thrive Programme for your team. If you’ve completed the Thrive Programme yourself you’ll understand the value in having all your leaders and managers learn the skills to thrive. You’ll also be able to spot a team member who would really benefit from the Programme. It might be someone who shows real promise or someone who is struggling at a personal or professional level and could benefit from a positive mindset shift. It’s OK to put people through the Thrive Programme without doing it yourself. Here’s some common reasons leaders invest in the Thrive Programme for people in their teams.
A high-performer is not running on all cylinders
Sometimes a high performer goes off the boil or a manager is not reaching their potential. There’s something going on. Will you leave them to struggle or will you take positive action? Often that person isn’t ready to have the difficult conversation with you, their employer. Instead you can offer them a training programme that builds their capability to address the personal challenges that are holding them back at work and at home.
You need people to embrace change
Change can be tough. Everyone is unique. The people will each view the changes in your business through their own lens. Some will be ready to embrace it now. Others will feel very vulnerable in the face of uncertainty. How we feel about change shapes everything. When people feel vulnerable they can’t hear your messages of positivity and are not able to fully embrace change. They need to make their own personal mindset change first. The Thrive Programme helps people to move from resistance to receptivity by equipping them with the skills to manage their thoughts, feelings and actions so they can refocus their own lens.
Forced false positivity
You or your managers may feel it’s their job as a leader to talk things up. Being positive is often a good thing, but as leading management thinker and Harvard Medical School phycologist Susan David says, forced false positivity is not leadership - its denial.
In a world that encourages positivity it is easy for managers to go a little too far and do more harm than good. Forced false positivity happens when you insist people keep a positive attitude, even when they have expressed sadness, fear or worry. This might make you feel more comfortable but leaves them feeling they can’t speak openly in the workplace. Problems are brushed off or hidden under the carpet rather than faced. This can be catastrophic for a business. Your management team needs to learn how to have difficult conversations without falling into the false positivity trap. The Thrive Programme prepares people to deal with negative emotions without denying them and other important leadership skillsets.
Imposter syndrome
Have you ever felt like you’re not good enough - inadequate despite your experience, ability and credentials. You’re not alone. If you haven’t the odds are someone in your leadership team has. One report suggests as many as 78% of business leaders have experienced imposter syndrome. It is crucial to retrain your brain now. It is hurting you and your business. You can kick the imposter syndrome into touch with the Thrive Programme while strengthening your soft skills, resilience, and mindset.
